At the beginning of July one of the biggest music festivals in Europe, Open’er Festival took place in Gdynia. For 4 days on an inoperative airport people had an opportunity to see and listen to well known artists, eat delicacies from all over the world, watch a movie in an outdoor cinema, see a fashion show or… visit the NGO zone and meet ESNers, who were there as a part of our project called ESNfest! It was our second year there. The aim of the project is to educate the visitors, especially high school and university students, in the fields of mobility, exchange programs and the activity of Erasmus Student Network.
ESN Poland Association was present in the NGO zone on Open’er Festival, which this year consisted of 26 non-government organizations. During the 4 days of the festival hundreds of people interested in Erasmus+ and ESN visited our booth. They left us with gadgets from local sections and brochures containing information about exchanges and our organization.

ESNfest in the eyes of the organizers
One of the organizers of the project shared her experiences with us:
“On the ESN stand we educated young people about the possibilities of participating in the Erasmus+ exchange program and other opportunities to study or volunteer abroad. We were very pleased that a large group of our visitors consisted of high school students, who took part in exchange programmes arranged by their schools. We discussed about our Erasmus memories with many people and also about the image of outgoing students. Moreover, we talked about ourselves, why it’s worth to join one of the local sections in Poland and gave out ESN gadgets. Our Alumni found time to visit our booth as well, for example the former ESN Poland president, among others. We hope that you had an opportunity to visit us, if not – come next year!”

In 2020 Open’er Festival will take place between 1st and 4th of July.
