ESN Poland is made of over 40 local sections, each of which deserves a special mention. Each section adds it's own personal brick to our organisation, helping it grow in strength and adding more and more new projects. If only it was possible to highlight each section.. Every section is on the same level and each section has the same impact on increasing awareness of ESN Poland. In the past academic year, ESN US Szczecin showed high enthusiasm and determination for arranging the event: ExchangeAbility - "ART IN THE DARK.:" The event was awarded by the ESN Poland Association "Project of the Week" and took third place in the category ExchangeAbilitySTAR.

The event was made by Joanna Skotnicka of ESN US Szczecin, and it consisted of two parts. During the first stage, on the 10th of December 2015, members of the Polish Association of the Blind and Erasmus students painted a themed image of Szczecin. Each participant was provided with materials which helped make the work much easier. Members of ESN US Szczecin helped communication between the participants. During this event, participants felt, albeit for only a moment, the everyday struggles of blind people.

A week later, on the 17th of December, there was an exhibition. The room was darkened and the visitors only had a small flashlight to be able to see anything. Visitors of the exhibition were surprised by the end result, because the participants were able to accurately remember details without the sense of sight. This exhibition was an excellent opportunity to stop for a moment and to feel how the visually impaired perceive the world, using only their souls and senses of smell and touch.
