1. What does ESN mean for you?

ESN is about people, I’ve met a lot of passionate and inspiring people here. It has been important part of my life, the place where I’ve spent great time and met my good friends.

2. Why have you joined ESN?

I always liked volunteering and felt good in international environment, so I was looking for a new challenges in this area, however I didn’t know what exactly do I want to do. At first it was not my intention to join ESN (I didn’t know what is it and what they do), I just applied to be a mentor for exchange students, I was attending ESN activities, met sections’ members, and I liked it so much that I stayed longer.

3. Fun fact from your #ESNlife.

There are many, but the funniest ones I should probably not share here, in public. One of the funny things that happen to me here are unexpected travels with ESN. For example once when I couldn’t go to the AGM Ankara because of my cousins’ wedding in Poland and because I wanted to be at both events, I came for the AGM gala directly after the wedding reception. Another time at the FICO meeting we promised to go to Mexico to visit one of ESNers, and we did it five months later.

4. What has changed in your life since you’ve joined ESN?

It changed really a lot. I started travelling more, met a lot of people, didn’t have time for many things, my family and friends started complaining that I’m “going somewhere again”, but I don’t regret it. I discovered passion for various things like for travels and organizing events.

5. What has ESN taught you?

Many things helpful at work and in general in life, for sure some soft skills, how to cooperate with people from different background, how to do 10 things at the same time, how to manage an organisation. It also taught me that there are no problems, but challenges and there is always a solution.

6. If you were to be an ESN project, which one would it be?

For sentimental reasons probably National Erasmus Games, since it was the first national project I was involved in and I feel attached to it the most.

7. Have you been on Erasmus exchange?

Yes, twice. First time in Slovenia, as a student at the University of Maribor, then on an internship at the tax office in Lyon, France. These were the best decisions ever, I recommend such exchange to everybody.

8. Your favourite place on the planet is...?

Home, of course. I have more favourite places though, but I don’t like spending too much time in one place.

9. Your favourite word?

Statutes and contracts… actually not, but some people in ESN think so.
