1. What does ESN mean for you?

First of all, ESN means amazing people, friendships that last even if one’s adventure with ESN ends. It is time devoted to something that makes you smile as well as activities bringing many benefits. Living the student live additionally being a volunteer.

2. Why have you joined ESN?

It won’t be anything special, I was a sophomore studying Chemical Technology. I needed an escape from the university and I wanted to make new friends and do something more. Technical studies couldn’t develop my passions which have always been photography and Social Media.

3. Fun fact from your #ESNlife.

My #ESNlife has brought a lot of both intriguing and hilarious situations. I think that one of them was the travel to NP Wrocław. At first, the situation was not that funy to me and my friends. Our train was delayed first 2h, then 160 minutes, and then 3h. Eventually, three trains to Wrocław were going one by one. In Częstochowa it turned out that one of the trains by which our trains were travelling had to stop because the last wagon was on fire! Nothing nice. There moved to the train no3. Together with the cracovian ESN members we were peacefully sitting in train no1. But before we got to Opole, it had turned out that the contact system was broken. We were again stuck in the middle of nowhere for a couple of hours. The nearby Biedronka was our source of supplies. After a few hours of delay spend playing, talking we arrived to Wrocław exhausted, but integrated as never before. In hindsight, we all remember those hours with terrific people and laugh about it before every travel.

4. What has changed in your life since you’ve joined ESN?

I have changed. My personality traits and my approach to life are now totally different. I have become more out-going and self-confident. Even though, I have less free time now I feel I use my life in 100%. I travel much more, I have amazing people next to me and I am not afraid of facing new challenges.

5. What has ESN taught you?

Self-confidence, humility, building relationships with people. To be honest, there is a lot more. I have learned to manage my time and work in a team. I have improved my graphic and soft skills but most of all, I could develop my interests.

6. If you were to be an ESN project, which one would it be?

Probably, it would be Mov’in Europe. Travelling and mobility at every step in my life now. Mobility gives chances to meet new culture, people, see the whole world. Why not promote it among our students?

7. Have you been on Erasmus exchange?

No, however my Erasmus is very near! In September I am going to Portugal. I am looking forward to spending time at the beach in the sun, meanwhile in Poland it will be freezing cold.

8. Your favourite place on the planet is...?

The mountains! I love visiting big capitals and cities. The mountains, however, is a place where each of us can truly be themselves. On the trail people are kind and friendly. At shelters sometimes you can meet amazing people with incredible stories. Go where you feel most alive!

9. Your favourite word?

It will not be a surprise but ‘Social Media’. Nowadays it is where everything happens. People use Social Media to communicate, share their lives, work and earn, create great campaigns and photos. Social Media is now our second life.
